Process innovation: a precondition for business excellence
by Mirko Markic
International Journal of Innovation and Learning (IJIL), Vol. 3, No. 5, 2006

Abstract: The paper focuses on production processes innovation, following a holistic approach to competitiveness. Adopting a holistic approach to competitiveness is a decision which should be taken by top management who determine their priorities in an organisation's policy. In order to identify company policies in 97 Slovene companies, we employed the methodology of an integrated audit evaluating the managing of a company policy. We developed an integrated model of production processes innovation, based on the findings that a desired purpose can be reached from the subjective and objective starting points of change agents and the interdependencies among both of them.
