The investigation of effective factors on employee motivation: a case study

Abstract: Motivation has an important role in achieving high performance in human resources development in each organisation. The present research discusses effective factors on the motivation of staffs in Pazargad non-industrial company. This research is a descriptive analytic study. The population is the staff of Pazargad Company, 190 persons. By Cochran formula, 120 persons were sampled randomly. The questionnaire includes 20 questions that are divided in three categories, materialistic factors, spiritual factors and materialistic-spiritual factors. The questionnaire is confirmed in terms of content validity and its stability was calculated by Cronbach's alpha coefficient, .857, that represents the internal matching of the questions. The statistical analysis revealed that, based on priority on the motivation of staffs and the research results in materialistic dimension, paying the advantages, achieving the necessities of life and the expectation of financial reward, respectively, had the most effect on the staff's motivation increase.
