Abstract: This review seeks to investigate the relationship among innovation, organisational ambidexterity and organisational performance by reviewing the related literature. The findings showed that the question of whether ambidexterity leads to an improved organisational performance or not is still barely developed and the results are still inconclusive. Although most theoretical and empirical studies have verified the positive relationship between organisational ambidexterity and innovation, and the positive relationship between innovation and performance, there is a lack of empirical evidence in the literature exists regarding these relations. As well, there is a paucity of studies that explore the relationship among innovation, organisational ambidexterity and organisational performance. Additionally, the findings revealed that innovation has a mediating effect on the relationship between organisational ambidexterity and organisational performance.
