Abstract: The demand for public transportation designed for people with mobility issues has grown rapidly in recent years, but service capacity has not increased at the pace of demand. Demands for major increases in service capacity have strengthened in recent years. In this paper, we study the design of an intelligent transportation system for accessible transportation services to enhance user experience and organisation operational efficiency. Our proposed system includes the components of data visualisation, real-time tracking via a mobile app and a vehicle scheduling optimisation mechanism. These three components are integrated in offline and online platforms. We illustrate the design and benefits of the proposed system through a case study.
