Abstract: Wine enthusiasts use wine appreciation apps (WAA) for knowing how to appreciate wines. However, these apps can be employed as tools for university students to study wine courses and to obtain wine knowledge. The aim of this study is to extend the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology model for studying the factors that influence students' behavioural intention toward using WAA for supplementing their learning in wine courses. A questionnaire survey was conducted in Macau. Partial least squares software was used to analyse 200 valid data. This study found that the factors for students' intention toward using WAA to study wines include flexibility, performance expectancy, social influence and facilitating conditions. Effort expectancy did not have a positive influence. This study provides a model for researchers in studying mobile education and ubiquitous learning. For enhancing the design of WAA, some recommendations were suggested to WAA developers.
