International Journal of Vehicle Design (IJVD), Vol. 78, No. 1/2/3/4, 2018

Abstract: This paper presents a concept of a simple hybrid system intended for use in a light vehicle. The basic element of the proposed system is an electrically controlled planetary gear, which combines input from a combustion engine and an electric motor. The transmissions combine the power from two sources, a gasoline engine and an electric motor. The proposed hybrid solution is characterised by simple construction that allows its use in small vehicles. This solution can maximise the performance of the combustion engine.
