  Abstract/
Summary
Knowledge management is a fairly new concept, and has not been comprehensively studied in the context of education institutions in Vietnam. Based on the framework set by the combination of Stankosky's (2005) knowledge management enterprise engineering model and Riege's (2005) reviews on barriers and enablers of knowledge sharing, this paper examined knowledge management practices at the International School – Vietnam National University. An exploratory research using case study research strategy was employed. A survey using structured questionnaires on 70 staff and in-depth interviews with nine top leaders and line managers were conducted at International School – Vietnam National University. The qualitative/quantitative and primary/secondary data were then collected and analysed in alignment with research questions. A set of factors relating to leadership, organization, information technology and learning organization that are hindering or accelerating knowledge sharing activities at International School – Vietnam National University are defined. Therefore, it is recommended that International School formulate knowledge management vision and strategic plan, develop organizational culture, improve organizational design and identify key knowledge networks, consolidate work procedures, develop an intranet system, promote a learning organization.
