Abstract/ Summary |
Supply chain performance management has attracted much attention from leading supply chain companies. The supply chain operations reference (SCOR) model, proposed by the Supply Chain Council, is a process-oriented reference framework. Housing plays a critical role in the lives of older people. It affects physical and mental health as well as social wellbeing. This study aimed to analyze the supply chain of housing for older Thai people according to processes of the SCOR model. Key informants; experts and older people were interviewed with probing questions. Upstream suppliers in the household supply chain for Thai elderly were divided in six categories; electrical store, furniture store, primary health care hospital, bookstore, supermarket and temple. All of the processes; plan, source, make, deliver, and return, in the six suppliers of the SCOR model did not specify elderly customers. The supply chain line of goods and products that ends at the home of older people did not support return or reverse logistics. Optimization of the SCOR model can manage the supply chain, which would create a healthy home for the elderly. |
