  Abstract/
Summary
PLM is nowadays a stable and reference IT market, globally distributed. In the last years, many PLM projects have been implemented in transnational and medium companies as well, with different levels of success and diffusion. Many authors, in particular at commercial level, have dedicated attention to PLM implementation, in terms of tangible and intangible benefits and main cost elements. The present paper aims at discussing the Italian experience on PLM projects, through the analysis of 37 business cases. The main evidence of this analysis is then reported at a general level, highlighting the main issues to be considered in a PLM project implementation.
