Abstract/ Summary |
In many companies the product development process is formalized at a high level and project managers have to respect the general identified phases and milestones. They have autonomy to structure projects and tasks within this general framework. In such a context, design coordination implies scheduling/planning tasks and resources management. Coordination of the information flows within design teams implies to manage information about the product, the process and the organization of the system. Authors are interested here in concepts and tools allowing project manager to obtain this information easily. The paper presents a conceptual approach to permit interoperability of product models and decision support software to follow evolution of design process. Some current work in information representation followed by a discussion on how these could be used to develop the new tools to address above objective are presented. |
