  Abstract/
Summary
Reuse of mechanical parts has been recognized to be essential for sustainable production. In this paper, promotion of reuse of parts is proposed based on the user's preferences on maintenance. For that purpose, authors are developing Part agent system consisting of network agents and RFID tags attached on parts to manage individual part throughout its life cycle. Simulation results of Part agent system showed diversity of user's preferences promotes reuse of parts.
