This paper describes a proposal for a Strategic Vaccine Facility to provide Sudan with the capability to deal with old and newly emerging diseases. The output of the facility will include vaccines which are already proven to be effective. It will also encompass vaccine candidates due to be used for clinical trials in areas of disease in need of improved vaccines as well as emerging infections.
