  Abstract/
Summary
In 2000 (Abuja Declaration), 53 African heads of state including Sudan pledged to halve malaria mortality by 2010. This paper aims to provide a clearer understanding of the constraints and challenges facing Sudan in compacting malaria. It will critically assess the performance and efforts of the Sudanese Government in compacting malaria in comparison with the internationally agreed targets to RBM and finally provide a conclusion.
