Abstract/ Summary |
New forms of production and collaboration caused by increasing market requirements have led to appearance of complicated and highly flexible supply networks currently recognized as a strategic issue of prime importance. Involving a high number of interacting participants supply networks require intensive knowledge sharing exchange. The paper presents results of research conducted in this area. It proposes a knowledge management platform for a flexible supply network to support finding available suppliers. In build-toorder supply networks absence of suppliers that could provide required materials/components may require changes in the product structure thus affecting the PLM processes. Special attention is devoted to the ontology-based architecture of the knowledge management platform and competence profiling. |
