Summary
The relation between product and customer is a critical factor in success of the business. PLC concept has been applied in marketing, manufacturing process, product development, international trade and pricing with varying degree of success. In recent past, PLM systems have leveraged information technology to mange product information. The paper proposes an approach of Customer Oriented product lifecycle management (CO-PLM) to provide unified view of the product to enable Total Product decisions.
