Abstract: |
The paper firstly analyses the importance of knowledge-based resources for the achievement of a competitive advantage for the firm. Additionally, the paper also addresses the strategic significance of this type of intangible resources in hospitals. Secondly, the paper argues that ''what is measured is managed'' and, therefore, proposes specific indicators to measure the different types of knowledge-based resources that exist in a hospital. Finally, the paper presents major conclusions and the implications for knowledge management. |
