Abstract: |
Many worldwide efforts have been made recently in restructuring teacher education programs. This paper provides an example of how senior pre-service early childhood teachers incorporated computer technology in fairy tale curriculum. It presents the creation and delivery of animated Aesop's Fables, and the preparation of activities that are based on the Fables. A case study design was employed and through in-depth interviews with pre-service early childhood teachers; it summarises the barriers encountered in integrating computers, the educational benefits and gains of computer technology integration, and the importance of computer technology integration as a regular feature in an early childhood classroom. |
