Abstract: In this paper, we consider the resource allocation problem for multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) orthogonal frequency-division multiple-access (OFDMA) relaying system. We jointly optimise the subcarrier pairing, channel-user assignment, relay selection, transmission mode selection as well as power allocation to maximise the throughput for MIMO OFDMA relaying system. The joint optimisation problem is formulated as a mixed-integer programming problem which is difficult to tackle since there is a fourth-order tensor in the problem. On the basis of Lagrange dual method, we propose an optimal algorithm using tensor decomposition. Moreover, we prove that the proposed algorithm can preserve strong Lagrangian duality. Simulation results show the proposed algorithm can significantly improve the system throughput.
