Calculation of the surface tension and shear viscosity of CO60 along the liquid-vapour coexistence
by M. Bahaa Khedr
International Journal of Nanomanufacturing (IJNM), Vol. 4, No. 1/2/3/4, 2009
Abstract: In this paper surface tension and shear viscosity of CO60 fluid are investigated at extended regions of temperature and pressure by means of an improved equation of state, in which the particles interacting via pair wise interaction of hard sphere plus an attractive suitable linear combination of three Yukawa-tails. The proposed method represented a powerful mathematical technique for the Helmholtz free energy in the series mean-spherical approximation expanded in powers of the inverse temperature to compute the liquid-vapour coexistence curve of CO60 which is used as an input to calculate the surface tension and shear viscosity. It is to be noted that the obtained results of surface tension and viscosity along the binodal curve exhibit interesting features. Also we have calculated the theoretical thermodynamic properties of liquid CO60.
