Planning and deployment of collaborative commerce: a conceptual framework and empirical evidences
by Ta-Tao Chuang, Kazuo Nakatani
International Journal of Electronic Business (IJEB), Vol. 2, No. 2, 2004
Abstract: This paper proposes a conceptual framework for planning and deploying collaborative commerce between business partners. The framework consists of two dimensions: the type of inter-organisational relationship and the level of engagement. The level of engagement is derived from the evolution of organisational computing. The underlying assumption of the conceptual framework is that trust and commitment between business partners is the premise for establishing a long-term collaborative relationship and that existing inter-organisational relationships influence the way collaborative commerce is conducted. Successful cases of collaborative commerce are identified to support the conceptual framework.
