ICT development brings advantages for organisations as well as bringing certain challenges. ICT affects lots of fields and areas such as consumer behaviour changes, cyber security issues, e-business solutions opportunities, new ways of reaching the marketplace, changes of international or internal communication, etc. Emerging possibilities for increasing effectiveness and efficiency of organisation via ICT solutions brings new aspects and scientific issues in business and economic science. Management changes of organisations caused by ICT development must be analysed and documented in the near future so that existing empirical studies and theories may constitute a multi-disciplinary guide for researchers, scholars, consultants, entrepreneurs, businessmen, managers, government agencies and policy makers.

The main aim of this special issue is to analyse the current state of ICT development and the effects on managerial decisions and companies performance in various aspects because of new factors that characterise today’s economic climate.

Submitted papers should not have been previously published nor be currently under consideration for publication elsewhere. (N.B. Conference papers may only be submitted if the paper has been completely re-written and if appropriate written permissions have been obtained from any copyright holders of the original paper).

All papers are refereed through a peer review process.
