Special Issue on: "Risk and Global Warming"

Guest Editor:
Desheng Dash Wu, University of Toronto, Canada

Risks and global warming have attracted a great deal of concern from both the academic and practical worlds. Managing risks facing the environment is essential to maintaining sustainable development and tackling global warming.

Recent advances in technology and policy seem to allow renewable energy to play major roles in meeting global energy demands while reducing CO2 emissions. Renewable energy technologies are being rapidly commercialised and greater emission reductions can be achieved. As a key global warming mitigation strategy, low-carbon economies are being examined by various nations.

This special issue aims to develop various risk analysis policies and tools and their applications to global warming-related issues, including risk in energy production and consumption, and risk in low-carbon environments.
