Abstract: The optimisation of well rates of an oil field can increase oil recovery and reduce water production, maximising production life-cycle economic gains. A way to improve the oil field management involves designing optimal production strategies by dynamically adjusting the production wells flow rates under production constraints of platform. In this way, we have tested some options of well control available in a commercial simulator. These assessments were made in two ways: 1) with default parameters in the formulas used in these controls; 2) with hybrid optimisation in each type of control. We tested different types of controls to perform an apportionment of wells, comparing the advantages and disadvantages of each type of control. The results showed an improvement in reservoir management by additional gains of NPV for the entire time production and through the proposed robust optimisation algorithm, showing advantages of the better well operations without additional investments.
