Abstract: Ladle is the carrier of steel production, and it plays an important role in the production of steel. So it is very important to monitor the production status and the design of the fault diagnosis system in time, which will be beneficial to the improvement of the steel production efficiency. Writing data acquisition interface by using the LabVIEW software and realising the function of data acquisition based on sensor and data acquisition card. The database of the ladle monitoring system is designed, and the temperature data and the data of the stress and the volume of the ladle are collected by the ladle monitoring system. Based on the research of the monitoring system module, the system design of the fault diagnosis on the LabVIEW software platform is based on the signal of the working layer, the permanent layer and the shell.
