Abstract: The goal of this article is to present a study in which process failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA) is applied to analyse weld failures and a software support is developed for process FMEA. Process FMEA is concerned with prioritising failure mode of the process. In order to enable effective computation and analysis with process FMEA, a software support has been developed. The developed software support has been illustrated for weld failure analysis. The developed software support would enable the systematic computation and analysis of process related failure modes. The practical validity of the developed software support has been tested. The developed software support systematically prioritises and analyses the causes associated with weld failures.
