Abstract: Purpose: The issues of economic growth take the important place in modern scientific research. Studying the influence of social, moral, and cultural values of society, the attitude of the population to science and innovations becomes urgent in such conditions. Design/methodology/approach: We have studied possible methods for assessment of components of an intellectual resource, and also have considered the available researches of economic growth with the above-stated factors. Findings: The sociological survey has been conducted and the assessment of a deep resource in Belarus and a number of the developed countries has been performed. Originality/value: We offer the structure of an intellectual resource including physical, mental, social, spiritual, and deep components. It allows for the complex assessment of population's health, education level, social capital, features of cultural values, and attitude to science and innovations.
