Abstract: It is system engineering that analyse factors affecting battery recovery. At present, researches on the analysis of the influencing factors of battery recovery are still less. Especially, it is almost a blank field that quantitative analysis on the battery recycling process. Based on the principle of system dynamics (SD), this paper uses the Anylogic simulation platform to construct an SD model for electric vehicle battery recycling. Besides, it analyses the influence that electric vehicle production rate, electric vehicle/battery lifetime, battery renovation times, battery recycling rate and battery renovation rate on recycling (the quantities of spent batteries, the quantities of total batteries and the proportion of used batteries). Some important conclusions are obtained in this paper, such as the quantities of spent batteries, the quantities of total batteries and that the proportion of used batteries decreases about 40%, 15% and 10% respectively when battery lifetime is prolonged for one year. The parameters influencing simulation results greatly depend on the relative life of the battery and the vehicle, etc. From this result, we can take corresponding measures to improve the battery recycling industry and promote the healthy development of the electric vehicle industry.
