Abstract: This paper addresses the formalism of the input-output feedback linearisation applied to a certain class of switched nonlinear systems where each mode may be non-minimum phase, to design state feedback controllers and a switching law based on multi-Lyapunov functions. The performed developments are largely on backstepping approach and multiple Lyapunov functions. The state feedback controllers and the switching law are developed to stabilise the transitions between the stability regions associated with each mode with non-minimum phase. Finally, simulation results of a non-minimum phase Continuously Stirred Tank Reactor (CSTR) show the effectiveness of the method.

Keywords: backstepping; stabilisation; switched nonlinear systems; non-minimum phase; multiple Lyapunov functions; MLFs; input-output feedback linearisation.
