Abstract: Life cycle assessment (LCA) is a tool used in evaluating environmental impacts of products, processes and services. LCA is widely used due to its ability to determine environmental effects of a product/service through its entire life cycle. Textile industry is one of the industries with the most impact on the environment; which increases interest to LCA studies of production, usage and disposal phases. In this study, LCA studies related to textiles are evaluated and discussed.

Keywords: life cycle assessment; LCA textile; environmental impacts; cotton.
