Abstract: Trend of today's business is changing at fast pace. The firms are also keen to revamp their procurement, production and distribution process to meet the high expectation of customers through enhancing the supply chain boundaries. Just-in-time has been proved worth to boost up the various activities under a supply chain management. The performance of supply chain management increases due to waste elimination, compression of lead time and reduction of inventories at all time low. These just-in-time tools are very much helpful in achieving the business excellence. India being the biggest upcoming economical hub has attracted academician to explore beneficial method to supply the finished goods to the end users. The present paper examines the supply chain performance on the tune of JIT philosophy. The survey of Indian manufacturing firms reveals that despite of developing infrastructures the industries are showing good results of supply of products at faster rate. One way ANOVA has been used to evaluate survey data to justify hypotheses. This research motivate the industries to learn more and more to implement JIT/lean in all kinds of management processes to get maximum benefits out of limited resources/constrains.
