Abstract: The dynamic viscosities of polyacrylamide (PA) or xanthan gum-gelled aq. HCl (12 wt %) have been determined at a temperature of 12°C and a pressure of 10 MPa. Weight loss rate curves for dolomite Ca1.16Mg0.84(CO3)2 samples exposed to gelled hydrochloric acid have been fitted by the Avrami equation; rate constants of reactions and their ratios have been determined. Quantitative characteristics of filtration have been determined for gelled HCl in the Ca1.16Mg0.84(CO3)2 carbonate reservoir core samples simulating reservoir conditions. The Damköhler numbers and filtration form of channels have been experimentally determined and calculated. [Received: February 22, 2015; Accepted: January 25, 2016]
