Abstract: In recent years, with advances in information technology and internet technology has brought great change to society, and also brought the era of big data. The arrival of the era of big data brings opportunities and challenges to the development of society and the development of Chinese medicine, and how these huge data information for rational use of data mining and analysis. This paper discusses the characteristics of big data, clarify its applications in the study of Chinese medicine. Big data provide large amounts of data and technology platform to the study of Chinese medicine, development for the pharmaceutical industry, and promote the integration of traditional Chinese medicine and modern science and technology, promoting to establish the digital Chinese medicine system. Big data has important significance in the study of modern traditional Chinese medicine.
