Abstract: With the tremendous growth of sensitive information on the internet, the security is getting more and more important than even before. However, the growth of users has unfortunately been accompanied with a rise in malicious activities. Millions of users are surfing the internet through various networks for different purposes. Therefore, they need highly safe and persistent services. The web-server or client endpoints should be secured while providing services or retrieving services. In this paper, a secure file transmission system using modified advanced encryption standard (AES) algorithm with two keys and MD5 hashing is proposed. Then, the file is transmitted to the receiver using client-server architecture (that provides IP address-based wireless communication between source and destination). A robust and secure system is built which provides data confidentiality and integrity to the files. Finally, we compare the algorithms and prove that the proposed algorithm outperforms the other existing algorithms.
