Abstract: Financial indicators in projects are essential factors in decision making. In this study, in order to achieve accurate evaluation of constructing a water supply and distribution system, including future development in urban areas, a new method has been formulated. This method is applied to Tehran's current water system as a case study. Capital and operational costs are utilised to assess the total costs of the system. Eventually, the total cost of the system is calculated per consumer as well as each water branch and water unit. This integrated approach could be applied to numerous similar cities in the future.
