Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to examine mobile payment user adoption using the technology acceptance model (TAM) from the perspective of trust transfer. Based on the 220 valid responses collected from a survey questionnaire, structural equation modelling (SEM) technology was employed to examine the research model. The results indicate that trust in online payment not only has a direct effect on mobile payment trust but also has an indirect effect through perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness and structural assurance. Mobile payment trust further predicts the usage intention of mobile payment. This study provides useful suggestions and implications for academics and practitioners.
