Abstract: The purpose of the paper is to examine whether a successful ERP implementation process is positively correlated with organisational performance. A success factor indicator (SFI) was used to verify implementation success. The study investigated 30 organisations to verify the benefits (i.e., improving organisational performance) of a successful ERP implementation process. The performance of the organisations under study was measured using three dimensions: financial, operational and customers' satisfaction. The study was conducted using a survey, based on a questionnaire. There were 60 respondents among 30 companies with a response rate of 85%. Based on survey results an index measuring the level of success was developed. Survey results reveal the fact that there is a positive correlation between the ERP implementation success index and organisational performance. This interrelationship can be a useful decision tool for the organisation management to evaluate performance improvement triggered by a successful ERP implementation. Our findings show that organisation's performance (i.e., customer satisfaction, supplier satisfaction and financial performance) is increased with implementation success.
