Abstract: It is one of the methods used by friction surfacing in mild steel where wear resistance and corrosion resistance improved. This work is done by using end milling machine. Hardness, wear and corrosion resistance were conducted by the corresponding ASTM standard and results were compared with the base metals. Enhancement in mechanical properties were found with the new specimen and the friction surfacing was found to be the suitable process that can improve the mechanical properties like hardness, wear and corrosion.
