Abstract: In the present dynamic environment, organisations face the challenge of managing knowledge to gain innovative capability. In terms of the knowledge-doing gap, integrated knowledge should apply to doing or to actions for the embodying of knowledge value. Based on knowledge-based view (KBV), this study intends to provide evidence that knowledge integration capability can facilitate innovative capability when it goes through the mediating effect of the business process outcome. Data was collected from 650 top Taiwanese manufacturing companies and 117 valid questionnaires were received. Based on the KBV, knowledge integration capability includes technological support, organisational support and the knowledge rules of the knowledge management process. The findings also show that the business process outcome has a full mediating effect between knowledge integration capability and innovative capability. The implications of these findings for research and practices in manufacturing companies are also discussed.
