Abstract: The structure-borne component of interior noise generated by the engine of a four-cylinder motor vehicle has been predicted using a combined analytical and experimental model. The model has been validated, and subsequently employed to investigate interior noise. The contribution of each engine mount to the total noise level may be identified by the model.
