Title: Studying the effect of organisational culture and structure on knowledge sharing: a case study in Lahijan food industry companies

Abstract: The world today is the world of information and knowledge changing therefore it is necessary that organisations gain necessary abilities for activity in this circumstances. Indeed efficient tool for gaining this ability is knowledge management. An organisation must develop human resources and increase the rate of available information and knowledge for overriding other organisations. Nevertheless, this research proceeded to study factors of structure and culture that are most important organisation factors and their relation with knowledge sharing in an organisation. In this research, 47 questionnaires were distributed among managers of productive units. Based on the analyses, each of the four research hypotheses is accepted. Team-work execution, innovation, confidence among staff, compensation, communication of members, type of performance appraisal are the most important cultural factors respectively and centralisation, formality, and complexity in order are the most important organisation structural factors known in this research.
