Abstract: In the present study, the energy transfer process of the engine exhaust was analysed based on the concept of exergy and exergy analysis of the second law of the thermodynamics, the proportion of the wasted exergy and the major exergy loss position were identified, which provided a theoretical basis for taking new measures to reduce the unnecessary loss of the available energy during the energy transfer process. The velocity analysis of fluid, total pressure analysis and the velocity analysis of the exit were conducted by the ANSYS (FLOTRAN element) finite element analysis software so as to optimise the structure of the designed MPC air-intake energy system of the exhaust turbine, reduce the energy degradation and improve the efficiency of energy utilisation. Moreover, the overall structural parameters of the exhaust energy utilisation device were calculated and the three dimensional geometric model was also built.
