Abstract: Since high-resolution (HR) schemes constructed in the region of convective boundedness criteria can produce a solution of both boundedness and high-order accuracy, they have been used more and more in computational fluid dynamics. However, no stability analysis has been made in literature for the composite HR schemes satisfying the convective boundedness criteria. In this paper, we analyse the stability of the composite HR schemes to enrich our understandings on this kind of promising schemes and also verify our analyses by a number of numerical examples.
