Abstract: This paper is an attempt to highlight the prevailing situation of Jammu & Kashmir Industries Ltd. a medium scale public sector undertaking having its four working units across the state of J&K. The government established the industry to resolve major issues like employment, restoring traditional skill and for the industrial development of the state. But these issues became more critical with time as when the desired outputs were not achieved by the industry. The purpose of writing the paper is to find out the remedial policies for the sick industry's revival in order to safeguard the employment of the masses, their skill and know-how, protect the resources invested in the industry. Thus when right mix of new and different techniques of corporative planning and management, human resource, marketing and financial planning and the production, these dead institutions will come back to life again.
