Each enterprise in the model can be customised with different policies and parameters for the different business functions. The framework is implemented using Java Swarm. The simulation platform, called Sistemas COoperativos para la Programación y Ejecución de pedidos (SCOPE), has been validated contrasting our results with three different methodologies described in the literature by three relevant authors in the supply network management topic. SCOPE is a very useful tool for supply network managers, allowing them to understand how their current system works, to calculate global performances, and to fine-tune the current system by simulation (changing parameters, management policies, adding or deleting new enterprises, etc.).
