Abstract: On the basis of the finite element method, central difference software LS-DYNA-970 platform, this paper using the Euler algorithm shows the simulation of the 3D jet forming. A study on the uniform thickness of curved cone-shaped cover is being executed, which reveals the metal-forming mechanism of various arc radius curved generatrix covers and a detailed study of the speed distribution in all parts of the formed jet penetrator. Studies have shown that under the same premise of drug cover in calibre and cone height, the jet formed by arc generatrix shaped cover inward opening can have a more uniform mass distribution, and can effectively inhibit the production of metal fracture in jet head, but the speed of the jet head is more decreased when compared with the model that arc generatrix opens outside. Such laws are more obvious as the generatrix radius becomes less and less. The results match the experimental results and agree well.
