Abstract: A new high-strength aluminium bronze alloy is developed by casting under the common atmosphere. The casting alloy performance is determined by the following factors: smelting rate, deoxidisation, refinement degasification, pouring temperature. Solid solution temperature, solid solution time, ageing temperature and ageing time influence the alloy|s microstructure and mechanical properties. The result shows that the new aluminium bronze alloy is a good high-strength material.
