Abstract: This paper presents an attempt towards constructing a model for a two-semester, multi-disciplinary, and capstone senior project course sequence in an engineering curriculum. The course is totally funded and driven by local or regional industries. It describes the fundamentals and ground rules, the curricular model, department and faculty support, as well as challenges and considerations that face the faculty or schools conducting such projects.
