Abstract: In the present competitive business environment, rapid concept to commercialisation is a need of the minute for any business growth. Product Commercialisation is influenced by the innovative technologies launched at the appropriate time and cost. The intension is to identify the factors affecting the product commercialisation and focusing on those factors. Data analysis by creating the detailed questionnaire and answer (Q&A) was done to capture the voice of the users on three major categories: 1) non-commercialisation of furniture mounted LED task light (a case study); 2) overall non-commercialisation of projects across R&D 3) software issues. The product 'green LED task light' used as a vehicle to understand the commercialisation process, the road blocks and the aiding factors. This paper provides the guidelines to enhance commercialisation of green products. Based on these gap analyses recommendations are provided to enhance commercialisation of new products developed (NPD) in R&D for the green environment.
