Abstract: In this paper, a fuzzy-based Resource Management for Load Balancing (fuzzy-RMLB) in mobile agents is presented for growth of service types and user numbers in mobile networks to attain the higher performance required in service provision and throughput. The estimation of workload is difficult and time consuming, and the result causes an unstable system and unnecessary message passing overhead. The structure of the load balancing system is composed of three design agents: the Load Index Agent (LIA), the Resource Management Agent (RMA) and the Load Transfer Agent (LTA). It is observed that the fuzzy-RMLB exhibits better adaptability, robustness, and fault-tolerant capability, thus yielding better performance compared to other existing algorithms.
