Abstract: In the literature of acceptance sampling, the procedure for the construction of sampling plans indexed through various parameters such as maximum allowable percent defective (MAPD), average outgoing quality limit (AOQL), maximum allowable average outgoing quality (MAAOQ) are provided. The sampling plan indexed through MAAOQ provides lesser sample size and more protection to the producer whereas the plans constructed through AOQL needs higher sample size and more protection to the consumer. The concept of a tightened-normal-tightened (TNT) sampling scheme was developed by Calvin (1977). In this paper, a procedure for designing tightened normal tightened scheme indexed through AOQcc which is a convex combination of AOQL and MAAOQ with a gain parameter λ, (0 < λ < 1) using a Poisson distribution as the base line distribution. These plans may safeguard the interest of both producer as well as the consumer by choosing a right combination. Tables are also constructed for the easy selection of the plans.
